When you set up a Direct Debit mandate with us for membership fees, we collect:
Contact Details: Name, address and email address
Financial Information: Bank account holder name, account number, and sort code.
3. How We Use Your Data & Legal Basis
To Process Payments: We use your data to collect recurring membership dues or registration fees under the legal basis of Performance of a Contract.
Association Governance: Managing membership rosters and communications under our Legitimate Interests as a breed society.
4. Processing Payments via GoCardless
We use GoCardless Ltd to process Direct Debit payments.
When setting up your mandate, GoCardless will process your contact details, bank details, and transaction history to securely collect funds and prevent fraud..
We retain financial and membership records for 6 years following the end of the tax year in which the transaction occurred to comply with legal and accounting requirements.
5. Your Rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to access, rectify, or request erasure of your personal data, as well as the right to restrict or object to processing.
