Wallets Marts, Castle Douglas - Ewe Lambs


Wallets Marts Castle Douglas Limited Monday 25th August 2025 continued their Scotch Mule sales when they sold 6267 ewe lambs.
At the pre-sale show, sponsored by Solway Agriculture, the Judge Jamie Pirie awarded the Champion pen of 40 to Messrs Shennan, Farden and the Champion pen of 20 to Messrs McKie, Finniness.
The sale was topped at £2000 for a lamb sold in aid of the British Liver Trust incorporating the Childrens Liver Disease Foundation and The Ronald McDonald House kindly by The Shennan family, Farden in memory of Heather Gray and purchased by Matt Ross, Birchwood Way.
Outwith the Charity lamb the sale was topped at £285 for the Champion pen of 20 from Messrs McKie, Finniness.
The whole sale averaged £216.95 (+£53.33) for 228 more sold.
